- I love this quote by Elisabeth Elliot: "The heart that has no agenda but God's is the heart at leisure from itself." How lovely it sounds to be at leisure from one's self. Reminds me of the Lord's admonition to "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:29. The more I am attached to the Lord Jesus Christ and learn from Him, the less are my concerns and harried agendas-- the greater my rest. May these writings be of help to you to lead you in the way of everlasting delight, sweet surrender, and glorious contentment in our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
